A creed for those who have suffered..
I asked God for strength, that I might achieve. I was made weak, that I might learn humbly to obey...I asked for health, that I might do great things. I was given infirmity, that I might do greater things...I asked for riches, that I might be happy. I was given poverty, that I might be wise...
I asked for power, that I might have the praise ofmen. I was given weakness, that I might feel the need of God... I asked for all things.that I might enjoy life.I was given life, that I might enjoy all things...I got nothing I asked for - but everything I had hoped for. Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered. I am, among men, most richly blessed!~Roy Campanella

Beautiful song by Don Mclean, inspired by Vincent Van Gogh's
painting, starry night. Liked the lyrics and the rhythm of the song...Starry starry night
Starry Starry night, paint your palette blue and
greyLook out on a summer's day, with eyes that know the
darkness in my soulShadows on the hills, sketch the trees and the
daffodilsCatch the breeze and the winter chills,
in the colours on the snowy linen land
For they could not love you, but still, your love
was trueand when no hope was left inside, on that starry,
starry night, you took your life as lovers often do, but I
could've told you, Vincent,This world was never meant for one as beautiful as
you...Starry starry night,
portraits hung in empty halls, frameless heads on
nameless walls, with eyes that watch the world and can't forget,
like the strangers that you've met, the ragged men
in ragged clothes,The silver thorn, a bloody rose, lie crushed and
broken on the virgin snow. Now I think I know, what you tried to say to me.
How you suffered for your sanity, and how you tried
to set them free, they would not listen, they're not listening still,
Perhaps they never will...
~Don McLean
